This division of Gamber Container supplies a variety of generic and private label printed plastic jugs, to primarily maple syrup producers and packers. The family of containers was the first plastic jug successfully manufactured for the filling of maple syrup. Previous to the development of this line of heavyweight plastic containers, maple syrup was packed in either glass bottles or metal cans. The plastic jug offered many advantages to the maple syrup industry. Those advantages included relatively lower weight, lower cost, and shipping durability to name a few. One big advantage is using silk screen printing methods. Jugs can be easily decorated with your company logo, product and farm or sugar house name. This personalization can be printed with very low minimum run quantities; in fact jugs can be printed in lots as low as three (3) cases. Additionally we stock many pre-decorated state, all-state and seasonal Bacon Jugs.

While these jugs are mostly sold to maple syrup producers, we do supply them to other industries that want a unique nostalgic looking container to give their product a sensational shelf presence. Some other products which have been presented in this American produced container are barbecue sauces, cane syrup, molasses and toiletries.

The container can be used with fill temperatures as high as 185ºF-190ºF. Then a secure tamper-evident cap (provided) is applied to seal your product. Bacon Jugs are manufactured in a cream color (off white) and also a color we call "classic" (grayish-tan). Examples of both colors are shown in the photo below including the complete line of Bacon Jug sizes; 3.4 fl oz, half pint, pint, quart, half gallon and gallon.
